Leviathan Mini

Razer on Thursday launched the dubbed version of its popular Leviathan sound bar. The compact and portable Leviathan Mini sound bar delivers a 24-watt power, which features two drivers each of 12-watt power and a 2600mAh battery that supports 10-hour battery life. It also includes a carrying case, which protects it from scratches and bumps.

Razer Leviathan Mini Specs & Features

Obviously, the sound is not that much loud as its predecessor but considering its size, it delivers an amazing audio. The significant feature of this mini sound bar is that it has the ability to pair with another Leviathan Mini to create a true stereo setup or mirror the virtual 5.1 surround sound setup.

The Leviathan Mini sports volume controls and a menu button on top like other Bluetooth Speakers. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0, NFC and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the sides, it includes a power button, Bluetooth pairing, a microphone and a microUSB port or charging.

The bass is really good even at high volumes. Undoubtedly, Razer mini fills your room with sound and provides balanced and crispy clear sound on the low end too. The low decals of music are crystal clear and you can easily differentiate various intensity and pitches of sound. Razer recommends placing the speaker about a foot away from the wall for enhanced bass response.

Leviathan Mini carry case

Razer Leviathan Mini is priced at $179 which claims its position right against its rivals – the Beats Pill+ ($229), Bose SoundLink Mini II ($199), and Ultimate Ears’ UE Boom 2 ($199). If you want to experience the ear-busting sound, you can pair the Leviathan Mini with another Leviathan Mini using Bluetooth and Razer calls it as “Combo Play”. Rather than buying two portable Leviathan Mini speakers, which cost you $360, you can get a new Razer Leviathan sound bar at $199 that features 5.1 surround sound.

If you are in the market, you can pre-order your Leviathan starting today and will be in your shelves this month. Other than the US market, global consumers have to wait until January 2016 for the speakers to ship.
