Huawei Launches Matebook 2-in-1 Tablet Intel Core M, Windows 10 at MWC 2016

    Huawei today revealed a Surface Pro-like 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet, the MateBook at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2016.

    With this tablet, the Chinese conglomerate enters the PC market, the first of its kind from the company, which is entirely constructed with metal giving the tablet a premium look.

    The Matebook will be available with both Windows 10 Home and Professional, and the pricing will start at $699/€799 for the base variant and goes all the way up to $1,599/€1,799 for the high-end line.

    The Matebook sports a 12-inch IPS TFT display with screen resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 216ppi.

    The device is powered by Intel’s 6th-gen Core M processors, wherein the base variant comes with an m3 processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD. And, the most expensive tablet equips an m7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD.

    matebookThe Matebook features dual speakers powered by Dolby Audio and packs in a 4,430mAh battery that can last up to 9 hours of office work or video playback. There’s a 5MP camera with fixed focus at the front and houses an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. Huawei also offers a handful of accessories including the Keyboard, the MatePen stylus and the MateDock, priced at $129, $59, and $89 respectively. The tablet features USB Type-C port as well as a fingerprint sensor.
