Google Cast: Google had announced Cast tech at last year’s CES that allows users to beam video along with a Chromecast for audio as well. As this feature was available to open source, companies were able to equip the feature alongside AirPly and Bluetooth connectivity.

With added options last year, Google Cast is still not a common feature in audio gears. But this isn’t going to happen in 2016, though and with Google’s latest announcement, it is said that a handful of companies will be having the Cast feature in their devices.

Sony and LG were already in the list, which have already shipped Google Cast-friendly. Other brands like Bang & Olufsen, Harman Kardon, Onkyo, Philips, Pioneer, and Raumfeld are all on board to make speakers and other gear that’ll play nice with Google’s wireless audio feature.

Also, you don’t have to wait longer for new devices to arrive in the market either, because some brands plan to make Google Cast available on their top-notch speakers via software update. For example, B&O will be including the Cast feature in their speakers, including BeoPlay A6 and BeoPlay A9 that are already available in the market.
