Ringing Bells has launched the world’s cheapest smartphone, the Freedom 251 on Wednesday evening and the booking for the smartphone started today at 6am IST. However, the website crashed and goes down within few minutes after the booking slot goes up.
Social networking site like Facebook and Twitter were loaded with consumer’s complaints regarding the issue. Consumers will have to wait till the website is up again. There’s no word from the company on when the site would go normally for ordering the most affordable smartphone.
The Freedom 251 packs in a 4-inch qHD IPS display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, a microSD expansion of up to 32GB, 3.2-megapixels on the back, a 0.3-megapxeil front snapper, and finally a 1,450mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the handset is equipped with 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the handset comes loaded with pre-installed apps like Women Safety, Swachh Bharat, Fisherman, Farmer, Medical, Whatsapp, Facebook, and GooglePlay.
