iPad Pro

Apple just announced the new smaller version of its popular tablet – the new 9.7” iPad Pro, which is the younger sibling of 12.9” iPad Pro.

“We believe that iPad is the perfect expression of the future of computing,” Tim Cook said on stage before Phil Schiller introduced the new iPad.

The new iPad Pro is powered by the same Apple A9X as the larger iPad Pro – a dual-core Twister processor with 4GB of RAM. It features a new True-Tone display with 2048 x 2732 pixel resolution. That’s said, the new iPad Pro’s display is 40 percent less reflectivity and 25 percent brighter than the iPad Air 2. At 500 nits of light and with a wide color gamut, it’s the brightest iPad ever.

With these sensors, your iPad can match to your ambient color temperature and adjust to it automatically.  The Night Shift adds yellow tone to your iPad display automatically in the night. Combining these features, you won’t have tired eyes anymore.

The new iPad Pro sports four speakers just like the larger iPad Pro for better and louder sound. It also gets modest camera upgrades than the bigger iPad Pro – 12-megapixel iSight camera that has the ability to capture 4K video. Also, there’s a 5-megapixel front snapper with Retina flash.

The new iPad Pro is just 6.1mm thick and weighs less than a pound. The tablet comes in four colors – Silver, Black, Gold and Rose Gold.

Coming to pricing, the new 9.7” iPad Pro is bit more expensive than the iPad Air 2, the 32GB variant costs S599, 128GB for $749 and finally $899 nets you the 256GB version. The Pad Pro will go on sale starting from March 31, with pre-orders commencing on March 24.
