It’s no surprise that R K Nagar, Venkat Prabhu’s latest outing, is a political satire comedy. The much awaited teaser of the film was just unveiled and that has many racy cuts of current political events. And, of course, it was expected as the film’s title itself proclaims, however, it has stirred controversy amongst the fanatics as the ending punch of the teaser directly takes on Ualaganayan Kamal Haasan’s political entry.

Today, the 63-year old versatile actor is celebrating his birthday, will be launching a social app and will make some announcements regarding his next move. Having said, the production house has revealed the teaser today, creating heat amongst his fans. The film discusses the current happenings in Tamil Nadu, touching all the issues ranging from poor roads, trashes, dengue, Bigg Boss Oviya, creating disparities amongst Tamils to actors venturing into politics.

Directed by Saravana Rajan, R K Nagar features Vaibhav and Sana Althaf in the lead roles, while Sampath Raj plays a supporting role. The music is composed by Premgi Amaren, the cinematography is handled by Venkatesh. S and the film is edited by Praveen K. L. It is produced by Badri Kasturi & V Rajalakshmi under the banners, Shraddha Entertainment & Black Ticket Company.

The one minute 35 seconds trailer comes with a disclaimer that the entire work is frictional and doesn’t deal with real incidents. But, at the end of the day, everyone knows what’s in the store. Will the film face hurdles during release? We’ll need to wait to know the answer.
