Happy Onam 2017: Best Pookalam Designs: Onam is the most widely celebrated festival by people of Kerala everywhere. Onam is celebrated in the first month of Malayalam Calendar, Chiingam, lasting for ten days and in some occasion, the celebrations will last for twelve days.

The festival marks the commemoration of home-coming of the mythical King Mahabali. In Kerala, it is the festival celebrated with most number of cultural elements such as Vallam Kali, Pulikali, Pookkalam, Onathappan, Tug of War, Thumbi Thullal, Kummati kali, Onathallu, Onavillu, Kazhchakkula, Onapottan, Atthachamayam etc.
