Watch David Fincher’s Mindhunter Trailer: New Darker Serial Killer Series on Netflix
After David Fincher’s political series House of Cards on Netfilx in 2013, it was speculated that the acclaimed director would return to Netflix with a new exciting series. And, it is happening now. Fincher is back on Netflix with a new darker series called Mindhunter, which opens in October. The first teaser of the series was released yesterday, and received overwhelming response from serial lovers.
Mindhunter series deals with a couple of FBI agents who track down serial killers and rapists to solve unsolved mystery cases. Fincher has created this new series along with Charlize Theron and will direct first three episodes of the series. The storyline of the series is adapted from the book Mind Hunter: Inside The FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by Mark Olshaker and FBI agent John Douglas, a 1996 novel that showcased the techniques that FBI agents used to track killers and criminals.
The plot for this series is set in 1979, which features Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford, a special agent in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, and Holt McCallany as Bill Tench, a fellow agent. It also stars Anna Torv and Corter Smith. Mindhunter will have its premiere on Netfilx in October.
