Vikram Prabhu’s Veera Sivaji Releases on December 16
Actor Vikram Prabhu's next venture Veera Sivaji featuring Shamili in the opposite, and directed by Ganesh Vinayak releases on December 16.
Vikram Prabhu starring Veera Sivaji is creating a lot of buzz since yesterday after the release date of the film was officially announced. The long time awaited movie finally releases on December 16 and this move comes after the postponement of Suriya’s S3.
Wagah the previous outing of the actor was released last month. There was huge expectation for the movie because of the film title, but the film didn’t do well at the box office. It was the only film from the actor released this year.
Directed by Ganesh Vinayak of ‘Thagaraaru’ fame, Veera Sivaji features Vikram Prabhu and Shamili in the lead roles. The film also has ensemble case including VTV Ganesh, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, Yogi Babu, Rajendran, Vinodhini and G.Marimuthu. Touted as action comedy, the film also marks the entry of yesteryear child actress Shamili pairing opposite the actor.
Produced by A. Nanadagopal under the banner of Madras Enterprises, D Imman has scored music for Veera Sivaji. The songs have been penned by Lyricists Yugabharathi, Kabilan and Rakesh. Gnangiri and Sasi Bala have written dialogues for the film. Cinematography has been handled by Sukumar. Songs are choreographed by master Dinesh and stunts by Dhilip Subburayan. Editing has been taken care by Rubeen.
Veera Sivaji has been filmed in and around Chennai and Pondicherry. Vikram Prabhu as Sivaji will be playing the cabbie (taxi driver) in the film and John Vijay the baddie in the film. The story revolves around how the hero and several other people are cheated by the villain. Vikram tracks the movements of the villain, collects information, forms a master plan and finally defeats him. There are some great romantic portions in the film, too, says Ganesh.
