Iru Mugan Story
Iru Mugan simply means two-faced man. Directed by Anand Shankar and music by Harris Jayaraj, the movie was shot in multiple locations, including but not limited to Malaysia, Ladakh and Chennai.
While Vikram has done variety of roles in his previous outings, it is the first time that he is doing a full length dual role – Akhilan (one with beard who is a RAW Agent) and Love (eccentric scientist). Both characters will be travelling through the end card of the movie.
Akhilan is the protagonist in the movie while Love is an antagonist. Nithya Menen character name is Ayushi is an undercover police cop in the movie who travels with Akhilan , the RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) Agent. They are set for an undercover operation by Indian government to find the wrong doings of Love, who involves in illegal research. They both travel to Malaysia to spy Love, however he had never revealed his identity till then, most importantly his face.
Meanwhile, Akhilan becomes hopelessly enamored with Nayanthara and they fall in love with each other. In the other hand, Nithya, who works with Akhilan also loves him. Vikram has done his job perfect in the movie with his versatile acting. The villain Vikram was so impressive that you’ll be engaged with him shortly after he gets intact with the plot.
Actually, he isn’t a transgender, the knot of the movie lies with Love. The reason for his transformation, though actually not, carries the rest of the movie.
As usual, Vikram acting can’t be compared to anyone, such a brilliant performance. Nayanthara was not given importance in the film. The cinematography is excellent, thanks to Rajasekar. Every shot in the movie is live and energetic.Action sequences are terrific, that too, the bold fight between Akhilan and Love at the end has been designed brilliantly. Songs are good, and you won’t be disappointed with visuals.
