We have earlier reported that the second schedule of Vada Chennai is all set to commence in the first week of March which is a Trilogy Gangster film starring Dhanush as the lead hero. Now, reliable sources hint us that Vijay Sethupathi who was roped into the film for a key role, has walked out of the project because the production has wasted his dates three times.
Vijay Sethupathi, who is very busy shooting with back to back films, has given dates to Vada Chennai on priority basis, but it is said that they had wasted his dates, not once, but thrice. The peeved Dharma Durai actor has decided to walk out of the project.
Vijay Sethupathi is ringing in success with back to back hit films in K’town and having a bunch of new assignments in his kitty. 2017 will see back to back new releases from the actor. As per insiders, the production is in talks with Sethupathi trying to convince him and promised to complete his portion in March schedule. However, we are awaiting for an official confirmation.
Apparently, Vada Chennai is Vetrimaaran’s dream project, with an ensemble casting and high production values. The film stars Dhanush, Amala Paul, Andrea Jeremaih in the key roles along with Vijay Sethupathi, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, Karunas and others in supporting roles. Despite several issues, Vetrimaaran kick started and completed first schedule of the film a few months back. Rumours have been surfacing that claimed the film was dropped for unknown reasons, but Vetrimaaran confirmed that it was not dropped through a post on Twitter.
