Rekka Movie Review

Rekka Story Synopsis

Rekka deals the story of a person who happens to kidnap a girl due to unavoidable circumstances and the things that haunts him after that incident. The majority portion of the movie was shot in Madurai and surrounding areas. You can feel the intense heat of Madurai and its nativity in each frame by frame.

It seems that Rekka was heavily inspired from Vijay’s Ghilli film. Vijay Sethupathi as Shiva is an advocate who is an ardent fan of Sivakarthikeyan who kidnaps Lakshmi Menon due to a challenge that he accepted in a case trail. He travel with Lakshmi Menon to various places and the father of Lakshmi Menon is a local gangster. Meanwhile, they fall in love with each other, and rest of the movie deals how he manages the girl’s father and his goons. What happens to them says the climax of the movie.

As usual, Vijay Sethupathi has delivered a stunning performance, where you can see a lot of fights and dance in the movie. It seems Vijay was bored of his routine pattern of movies and you will see a versatile Vijay Sethupathi in the movie.

The entire plot revolves around Vijay Sethupathi and he scores in this movie as well. There’s a car chase stunt sequence which has been brilliantly executed. Imman background score will make you feel high with racy beats in stunt sequences. There’s a twist in the first half of the movie which carries the movie through the climax.

Rekka Movie Upsides
