We earlier reported that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is no longer part of Vada Chennai. The film stars Dhanush, Amala Paul, Andrea Jeremaih in the key roles along with Vijay Sethupathi, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, Karunas and others in supporting roles. This is the first film in Tamil cinemas being made as a trilogy, of which the first installment is expected to hit the theatres sometime end of 2017, second installment in 2018 and the third and final installment in 2019.
The shoot of Vetri Maaran’s ambitious project resumed a few months ago. It was said that Vijay Sethupathi backed out from the project due to his dates being wasted by the team. Though, there isn’t any official confirmation from the actor or makers either, Vetri Maaran has now cleared the air stating those as baseless rumours and Vijay Sethupathi is still part of the project.
The movie, a trilogy gangster thriller flick is directed by Vetri Maaran is jointly produced by A. Subaskaran`s Lyca Productions and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films along with Vetri Maaran’s Grass Root Film Company. Santhosh Narayanan renders soundtrack and score for the film.
