Apart from Tamil Nadu, Ilayathalapathy Vijay has a huge fan base in Kerala which often described as Vijay’s Fort. Vijay’s previous outing Theri was released in around 200 theatres across the state and the ongoing strike in Mollywood would pound Bairavaa largely.
It is now said that Bairavaa will be released only in less number of screens around 70 or less. Owing to the festival season, it will be a big hit for the film which would impact on the box office collection. The film will not be released in theatres that come under the Exhibitors Federation. The distributors have decided to release the film only in multiplexes, Government and B-grade theatres. It will not tough the A-class theatres.
As per distributors, they would let the theatres of Exhibitors Federation screen the film only if they agree with the existing revenue model. Vijay’s movies will usually have good opening in Kerala. Directed by Bharathan, Bairavaa stars Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. It will be an action entertainer with all ingredients for commercial cinema.
