HBO has officially confirmed the premieres of the highly expected television fantasy drama series, “Game Of Thrones” Season 7, during an elaborated Facebook Live event amid flamethrowers melting a block of ice. The fantasy series debuts on July 16th. HBO has revealed a new teaser of the season when announcing the premiere date on Twitter. Watch the teaser below.
The fans of GOT have been overwhelmed with excitement as they are enthralled to witness the “Great War” of the series, for which they were waiting for more than seven years. Unlike the previous seasons, which had 10 episodes, the season 7 only has 7 episodes, and that could be the beginning of the end of GOT.
The series which will typically premiere in April has been delayed for this season because of the delayed shooting schedules in winter conditions. The Emmy-winning series is just due of season 7 and 8, marking the end of the series.
In the previous season (season 6), we saw Daenerys Targaryen heading to Westeros while Cersei Lannister taking the Iron Throne, Arya Stark avenging her family, and Jon Snow being crowned King of the North. With the winter finally arriving, the ‘Great War’ is about to begin with the White Walkers.
GOT is executive produced by Benioff and Weiss as well as Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield. The storyline of season 7 consists of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, but also adapts material from the upcoming sixth and seventh novels The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring, is a co-executive producer.
