Mo Movie Review

Mo Movie Story & Plot

Dev (Suresh Ravi) and his friends Sathish (Ramesh Thilak) and Kumar (Darbuka Siva)  will be conning people using their fear for ghosts and make money. They fabricate stories, tell their clients and make money out of it.  Priya (Aishwarya Rajesh) and Joseph Chellappa (Ramdoss) part of the team, makeover as ghost and threaten their clients. The entire first half is full of laughs. The chemistry among Ramesh Thilak, Darbuka Siva, Muneeshkanth & Yogi Babu has worked well and entertain us thoroughly. The first half showcases how they cheat people and what they do for that has been told humouredly and sensibly.

At a point of time, they get caught red handed by Vetrivel (Selva), who threatens to put them behind the bars for conning people, however he makes a trade off with the. There comes a haunted school where they will be asked to chase away Senthilnathan (Mime Gopi) from buying a haunted school. Just like their previous encounters they create fabricated stories until they realize the school has been really haunted. What happens next? How Priya is possessed by the sprit in the school? What is the flashback and unfulfilled wish of the Ghost? forms the rest of the story.

Though we have been used too many comedy horror flicks, the flashback thing in Mo is something unique. The outline story of the film is a repeated one which had been seen in numerous films. The highlight of the movie is the comedy portion and flashback part. The comedy has really worked well in the film which we thoroughly enjoyed. At the same time, there are up and downs in the movie like weak narration, known story and not a gripping one.

Performance wise, all actors have done their best. Ramesh Thilak, Darbuka Siva, Muneeshkanth & Yogi Babu have performed well in the film while Aishwarya Rajesh and Suresh Ravi have taken the movie to the next level. The creepy scenes should have been better. The background music didn’t help the movie and the makeover of Aishwarya as a ghost should have been better. The climax of Mo disappoints us.

Mo Movie Verdict: Mo is a genuine good creepy attempt but failed to haunt us. Onetime watchable!
