James Cameron’s science fiction adventurer ‘Avatar’ took us to an unbelievable world leaving in excitement and the makers have announced that the sequels to the film will hit the theatres in 2020. This news might excite you, but there are more. Yes, James Cameron and his team announced they have begun concurrent production of four sequels of Avatar.
The first untitled sequel will hit the theatres on December 18, 2020 while the rest three sequels will be released on December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025 respectively. Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang are returning to the sequels to reprise their roles.
Meanwhile, the announcement regarding the Deadpool 2 was also made on the same day. 20th Century Fox has announced that the David Leitch film will hit screens on June 1st, 2018. The network has also unveiled the release dates of upcoming X-Men universe films. The X-Men: New Mutants will be released on April 13th, 2018 and the X-Men: Dark Phoenix is scheduled for November 2nd, 2018.
Though Fox Studios was the first network to bring extended superhero movies based comic adaptations, people tend to lose their interest after the emergence of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC’s Extended Universe. The three new releases show the studio is back into the track to win the likes of movie lovers.
