Vangaveeti Movie Story & Plot

Vangaveeti is a story about former Congress MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, and his sibling Vangaveeti Radha. It deals with the impact and strategic maneuver they had amid the caste war and political turmoil in Vijayawada during the 70s and 80s. There are different posses that make Vangaveeti their foe and the story moves towards peak from that point.

Vangaveeti is set up amid late legendary actor-turned-politician NT Rama Rao’s political regime and it deals with events that lead to the assassination of MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga. The movie showcases how Ranga’s murder had created a political turmoil and gang warfare in Vijayawada.

The intense performances by the lead actors are all set to take the film to the next level. The movie stars Sandeep in the male lead role. He plays Vangaveeti Radha and Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga. Vamsi Nakkanti will be seen playing Chalasani Venkata Ratnam and Kautilya is also playing the role of Devineni Gandhi.

Other than that, Shritej will be seen playing the role of Devineni Nehru while Naina Ganguly will be seen playing Ratna Kumari. RGV has intelligently used caste names in the lyrics and got rid of censor issues. Ranga has used the names of Gandhi and Nehru directly and has taken a heavy risk. In few angles, it can be said that RGV has taken a higher risk with Vangaveeti compared with Raktha Chariktra.

The first half of the film is average, but it gains a momentum with a twist at the interval bang. However, the second half of the movie is slow and dragging and it bores the viewers. They should have focused on dubbing for some characters. The movie has good production values and background score, picturisation and recreation of 70’s 80’s ambience are the attractions on the technical front, add the audience.
