Amid speculations and controversies of Superstar Rajinikanth’s political decision, Dhanush has taken the wraps of his next film title earlier today. Kaala is the title of Rajinikanth’s 164th film, directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar Films banner.
The title logo for the film has been released in all three languages the film will release – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi . It took the internet by storm which is now trending on social media as we speak. Pa Rajinth has earlier said that this movie will follow the reins of his previous outing Kabali and speaking about the story, it will be about oppressed Tamil people in Mumbai dating back to 1960s or 70s when a Tamil leader turns gangster to uphold the rights of his people. It is unclear whether the film could have traces of real life characters.
Meanwhile, a lot of backstories have being circulated on the internet. People have started to relate the above said story to different perspectives as everyone knew the story, and it is Ranjith who has to give explanation on the title. Some says it’s a Sanskrit word, which represents dark or black color and hence the title logo was designed carrying dark theme. People in south districts of Tamil Nadu refer Kaalai as Yaman, portraying ferocious characterization.
Some link the title to Karikala Chozhan, a valorous Tamil Chozha king, who once ruled South India. He was also known as Karikaal for his charred leg. Whatever it may be, Kaala is an apt powerful title that is gaining traction among film fanatics.
