Pro-Jallikattu protests have became intense and vigorous state-wide with several celebrities and actors has extended their support. Despite ill, actor Raghava Lawrence had joined the protest in Marina early today and expressed his solidarity and support for Jallikattu.
He said, “It is surprising that a valorous sport like Jallikattu which is over 5000-year-old has been banned. We worship cattle as God. And just three days of a year, they are used for Jallikattu. Unfortunately everyday thousands of cattle are killed for food, making accessories from their skin. Both the Centre and State governments should act fast and ensure Jallikattu is conducted.”
At the same time, the actor has come forward to offer Rs. crore to the protesters for buying food and medicines.
