Kanye West has released his most anticipated album, “The Life of Pablo” on the subscription music site, the tidal. After releasing the album, he tweeted that the album would “never never be on Apple,” and that it would never be for sale.
Previously, he tweeted that the album would go on sale but it would be delayed. And, a day later, West said that he has no plans to sell it.
His fans were upset over the limited release and responded by pirating the album over 500,000 times, according to the piracy tracker TorrentFreak.
Kanye isn’t the first artist to restrict the release of a much-anticipated album. Adele, Taylor Swift and Prince have all kept their albums from being streamed.
Previews of the songs are also available on his personal website.
