I Suffered A Loss Of 1.64 Crores in Bairavaa, Says Tirupur Subramaniam
Tirupur Subramaniam About Bairavaa Loss: Post a few days, popular distributor Tirupur Subramaniam revealed that most of the big movies that was released in 2016 and 2017 didn’t turn out to be a profitable business for distributors. He even lashed that directors and the actors conduct success party meet in a day or two of the release of their movies, and then he asked how come they conclude that their movies are a super hit in a day or two.
He said that distributors were incurred losses with the big movies and he himself suffered a loss of Rs. 1.64 crores with Vijay’s Bairavaa, who distributed the movie in Coimbatore territory. He is upset that without knowing the ground reality of Bairavaa, Vijay along with the actors and technicians of the film had celebrated the success of his movie.
Here’s the statement of Tirupur Subramaniam regarding Bairavaa loss:
For Bairavaa, Vijay had gifted gold chains to the technicians and artists who had worked in the film. I am the Coimbatore distributor of Bairavaa, and I incurred a loss of Rs 1.64 crores. When I had to sell my gold chains for my losses, wouldn’t I feel terrible when the hero is gifting gold chains to his team? This is what we don’t want the heroes to do.
Those days, MGR used to enquire, if the canteen owner is benificial while screening his films. I am not asking the actors to do that. The least they could do is to call the seven distributors of Tamil Nadu, one distributor from Kerala, one from Karnataka and one overseas. A hero can call for a meeting with these ten individuals alone and check the reality with them and then they can hold a success meet if these distributors are happy
