Bongu Movie Review: Actor Natarajan Subramaniam, better known as Natty, a well-acclaimed cinematographer, has had tasted quite a success in Tamil Cinema. He attained fame after the release of Sathurangavettai film, in which he portrayed a role of a fraudster, fetched him popularity in no time. His latest flick Bongu is releasing on June 2nd, a film similar of that kind, playing a role of nabbing premium cars.
Directed by debutante Taj, the film has Ruhi Singh playing the leading lady, which also marks her debut in Tamil. Ruhi Singh is a Miss World Beauty pageant title winner for the year 2014. Atul Kulkarni, Ramadoss of ‘Mundasupatti’ fame. Arjun, Sharath Lohithashwa, Rajan. Bhava Lakshamanan, Mayilsamy and Chaams are part of supporting cast.
Bankrolled by Raghukumar, Rajarathnam and Sreedharan under the RD Infinity Deal Entertainment banner, Bongu has Srikanth Deva music. The film was originally slated to release in 2016 but has been postponed many times for unknown reasons.
Writer-director Taj said it is “the story of four high-tech car thieves. What drove them to theft, what are the problems their struggles and challenges? The screenplay revolves around these things”. Natty will be porting a stylish look in this film.
