Actor Akhil Akkineni is geared up for his next venture after his debut movie as a lead in ‘Akhil’ released in 2015. The film didn’t do well at the box office. The actor didn’t see any releases this year, however, there’s a big announcement in line to be revealed in the coming days.
Manam, the 2014 blockbuster hit had Akhil Akkineni in cameo appearance which was directed by Vikram Kumar. The actor took a while to pitch into a good script and that comes in the form of his favourite director. Yes, Akhil Akkineni has announced today that he is teaming up with his genius director Vikram Prabhu for his next.
The yet untitled venture is yet currently under pre production and all details about the film, including cast and technician details will be out very soon. The actor said on his Twitter, “For the last one year patience has been my best friend. Time can move along very slowly but it picks up eventually and at the right time.”
The new comes through the social media handle, “My genius director Vikram is coming up with some really new age stuff! Very exciting times and I’m so happy the wait has been worth it. Pre production going on full swing, will update with all details very soon. Finally everything has surfaced and almost set to go.”
Director Vikram Kumar’s last venture was ‘24’ featuring Suriya and Samantha in the lead roles. The film was also dubbed into Telugu and a blockbuster box office hit.
Akhil Akkineni is the younger brother of Naga Chaitanya and son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. He is also the grandson of actor and film producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
