Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush to Direct First Tamil Sport Biopic

Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush who celebrates her birthday today begins this year with a big announcement. Shah Rukh Khan who is the good friend of her took Twitter to announce her next directorial project ‘Mariyappan’ which is the first Tamil sport biopic.

The actor said in a tweet, “Here’s presenting the first look of the biopic on #MariyappanThangavelu, our very own national hero, all the best @ash_r_dhanush.”

This film is about Mariyappan Thangavelu, an athlete who brought fame to Tamil Nadu and India by winning a gold medal in High Jump event in the Paralympics 2016.

Mariyappan movie first look posterAishwarya will be directing the biopic who has already directed ‘3’ and ‘Vai Raja Vai’ Tamil movies and currently working on ‘Cinema Veeran’ a documentary on film stunt artists and technicians.

Mariyappan will be a bilingual film made in Tamil and English. Sean Roldon, Velraj and Prasanna GK have been roped in for music, cinematography and editing respectively. Director Raju Murugan will pen dialogues for the film. There’s no word about the cast as of now which will be announced shortly.

The film will be hitting the theatres this year.
