The most hyped movie of Aamir Khan Dangal was released worldwide yesterday and getting positive reviews from around the world. The movie has got big opening on the first day box office releasing in more than 4300 screens which was the highest for any Hindi movie till date.
With expectation geared up to the sky, Dangal has satisfied all categories of audiences making it a blockbuster film of the year. The movie screen in more than 1000 screens worldwide, including the United States, Canada, UAE-GCC, UK and Australia among others.
Dangal 1st Day/First Day Box Office Report
The theatre occupancy was excellent in metro cities despite the fact yesterday was a working day. Opening with positive reviews, the late shows of the day saw terrific occupancy ranging from 80-85% in the cities which was the second best after Sultan. The movie did very well in North India gaining momentum in Delhi/NCR, UP, and Punjab. And Of course, it’s a Hindi film targeted at family audience and was par at the expectations. Though, Dangal isn’t native to South India, the film performed well at the South Indian box office rather to Gujarat and Eastern India. The film got massive opening in Mumbai and down south owning to the promotions and other stuff.
Dangal first day collections
According to trade enquiries, Dangal has grossed around 40 crores at the worldwide box office of which it was around 30 crores in India making it to be the second best record for any Hindi movie after Sultan. The first day collection of Dangal was short of Salman Khan’s Sultan which made Rs. 36.54 crores at the box office. With positive reviews and increased momentum in late shows, it is no strange the film would surpass Sultan in the opening weekend.

Dangal first day collections was the second best for Aamir khan which had already outperformed his previous outing PK’s opening record. As the movie has got massive response from audiences, we expect the film to collect around 90 crores in the opening weekend.
Dangal is a biopic based on the true story of legendary father and wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogot and his two daughters. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal features Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead roles.
