2017 corolla facelift

Toyota has officially released the images of the all-new 2017 Corolla facelift recently, revealing the design, and look of the car. The car is likely to be launched in India in the first half of 2017, which will be going on sale in Australia early next year.

The car gets aesthetic changes on the exterior as well as interior profile, giving a bold and aggressive look, thanks to the new design language.

On the exterior front, the entire fascia has been revamped with sleek redesigned pair of headlamps that gets freshly designed LED DRLs and a revised signature single slate grille. The bumper is tweaked with larger three-slat air intakes offering a wider appeal to the car.

A chrome strip running towards both ends on the revamped bumper adds elegant styling cues to the car.  The car even gets new alloys with a new design pattern. The sides of the car remain the same and the rear profile gets reworked tail lamp cluster with a chrome strip.

As for the interior, the changes to the cabin were not revealed by the company just yet, however, you’ll be seeing subtle enhancements than the outgoing model. For the Australia spec version, the 2017 Toyota Corolla facelift will be equipped with a safety package comprising of a pre-collision system (PCS), lane departure alert (LDA) and automatic high beam (AHB).

The systems make use of laser and camera housed on top of the windscreen to offer precise electronic aids. For the Indian version, though, Toyota is likely to skip on most of these features.

2017 corolla facelift sideThe 2017 Corolla facelift is expected to have the same engine lineup – 1.8-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel engine. And, of course, the car will get both 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission.  The Corolla facelift will make its global debut in the coming weeks, but we can only expect the Indian launch to happen in 2017.
