Skoda India has taken the wraps off the all-new Superb sedan by teasing a video on their Indian site. The new 2016 Superb is the third generation variant from the brand based on the MQB platform, which is expected to go official soon.
The new 2016 Skoda Superb gets all the bells and whistles such a new projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, chrome padded mustache grille, and new LED tail lamps. On the inside, the cabin gets a lavish luxury space, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, large touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth and Aux compatibility, multi-functional steering wheel, power adjustable seat, push-button start, and many more.
The all new Superb will continue to get power from the same engine powering the current generation Superb. The 1.8-liter turbocharged petrol engine churns out 158bhp and 250Nm of torque mated to either six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic DSG gearbox. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine is good to deliver 138bhp and 320Nmof torque through a six-speed automatic transmission.
There’s no word on pricing and availability right now, however, the new Skoda Superb will sit on the shelves above the current generation model.
