Royal Enfield’s Himalayan has been in the news for several weeks, and the company has finally unveiled the Himalayan today. This motorcycle marks the beginning of the adventure motorcycles from the bullet maker. Royal Enfield hasn’t revealed the launch date, which is reserved later. The sale of Royal Enfield’s motorcycles is increasing year-over-year and the company has made a right move by introducing an off-road adventure motorcycle for the bike enthusiasts.

As far looks, the motorcycle has been developed from scratch, meaning it doesn’t resemble other Royal Enfield models. The bike carries a rugged tough design pattern that can handle any kind of terrain. Powering the motorcycle is a 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is good to deliver 24.5bhp at 6500rpm and 32Nm of torque between 4000rpm and 4500rpm. The power is transferred to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox and weighs about 182kgs with a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters. On comfort front, the bike has 41mm telescopic forks at the front with 200mm of travel and a mono shock at the rear. The bike boasts a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel and ground clearance of 220mm to manage the outskirts of the country.

Royal Enfield HimalayanThe instrument cluster is both analogue and digital that come with all standard gears and it has a 300mm disc on the front and a 2240mm disc at the rear. Royal Enfield will be offering a lot of accessories with the Himalayan to take care of touring needs. There’s no word from the company about the pricing, just yet, but the bike is expected to be priced around 1.10lakh.

The Himalayan will be launched sometime in March, however, the dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the Himalayan, which will be available in Granite and Snow paint schemes.
