Mahindra two-wheelers entered the most competitive two-wheeler market in 2014 after acquiring Kinetic SYM in 2008, and the company is struggling to establish a prominent stance in the two-wheeler market.
The company has a wide range of models under different segments – scooters, motorcycles and a performance bike, though, Mahindra is unsuccessful, just yet.
Rumors have suggested that Mahindra was working on a 160cc bike and it’s time to put an end to these rumors, as this bike has been caught testing in Maharashtra for the first time. With this new bike, the company is entering into the most competitive segment with dozens of bikes already in the market.
The new bike with no name comprises simple old school design, which is said to be powered by an in-house 155cc engine. The engines will deliver around 15PS of power that is complimented with a light kerb weight to produce a good power to weight ratio, a key element for the good utilitarian. The spy shots clearly reveal the minimal design with a luggage carrier, twin shock absorbers, spoke wheels, drum brakes and a simple analogue instrument console.
Mahindra’s new 155cc bike will be a true rival to the Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the likes.
