Mahindra unveiled the GenZe 2.0 electric scooter at the ongoing Auto Expo. Backed by Mahindra, GenZe launched the electric scooter in the US last month, which is fully designed and engineered in Michigan.
Designed to offer mobility, the scooter gets power from a detachable battery that can be carried anywhere for charging, rather than the whole scooter. It can be charged from a standard power outlets and charges fully in 3.5 hours, thanks to the advanced technology.
The scooter sports a large 7inch touchscreen providing all sorts of information through cloud-based connectivity that connects to your smartphone through an app. The scooter can accelerate up to 48km/h offering three modes of driving options – Safe, Econ and Sport. You don’t require a driver licence to ride this innovative scooter, which makes it open to riders of skills.
The GenZe 2.0 is retailing at $2999 (roughly Rs. 1.90 lakh) in the US that has a limited audience, so Mahindra won’t be bringing the scooter to the Indian market anytime soon, at least, for few years.
