Orenthal James Simpson, better known as OJ Simpson, is a former American football player, broadcaster, actor, and advertising spokesman. He was a very popular athlete during his peak when he payed as a running back for eleven seasons with the ‘Buffalo Bills’ in the ‘National Football League’ (NFL). Simpson was so notorious during his early teens that made him to join a local group called Persian Warriors and involved in crimes. He was briefly confined at the ‘San Francisco Youth Guidance Center’.
In 1973, he became the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season. He holds the record for the single season yards-per-game average, which stands at 143.1. He is the only player to ever achieve that in the 14-game regular season NFL format.
He selected the ‘University of Southern California’ from the fifty colleges that wanted to recruit him. He played professionally in the NFL as a running back for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills from 1969 to 1977.
