Canadian adult film star, August Ames, 23, has passed away today (Dec 6) in Camarillo, California, leaving the entire industry in shock. The award wining actress ended her life after facing a social media backlash for the comments she made on Twitter regarding working with men who had starred in gay movies.
This 23-year old actress real name was Mercedes Grabowski, and was born on August 23, 1994 in Antigonish, Canada. She came into limelight in 2014 when she appeared in an adult film, since then, she has starred in around 300 adult films through her career. Ames has also received two accolades, Vixen Angel AVN (2016 ) and Cutest Newcomer (2015).
In a recent tweet, she wrote that she won’t be performing with an actor who had already starred in gay films. Her tweet quickly attracted thousands of people for all the wrong reasons resulting in backlash.
The 23-year-old wrote: “NOT homophobic. Most girls don’t shoot with guys who have shot gay porn, for safety.
“That’s just how it is with me. I’m not putting my body at risk, i don’t know what they do in their private lives.”
Her husband Kevin Moore, who is a adult film director, said, “She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me. Please leave this as a private family matter in this difficult time.”
The actual cause for her death is unknown while the police is investing the cause of her death.
Fellow stars and people took to Twitter to pay tribute to her.
American star Abella Danger, 22, wrote: “She was the most kind-hearted person ever.”
Producer Jules Jordan tweeted: “Rest In Peace to August Ames, one of the best, nicest people I ever knew in the business.”
